The Pennsylvania Draft Horse Sale

A great way to spend two winter days!
Come prepared to see some of the best Draft Horses in the entire country, hitch horses, farm horses, pleasure teams, mares, geldings, and stallions.
A public action held annually to serve the needs of the breeders of all breeds of Draft Horses.

Monday, January 15th
12:00pm – Check-in begins
Tuesday, January 16th
7:00am – Check-in continues
9:00am – Tack (wagon/equipment) sale, consignments accepted until 11:00am
LARGE ARENA SCHEDULE
Tuesday, January 16th
9:00am–12:00pm – Hitching of Draft Horses beginning with mares Draft Horses will be hitched in order of sign-up by consignors upon arrival; first come first served basis as filled out on the sign-up poster in the Draft Horse barn
12:00-12:30 pm – Draft Horse stallion presentation
12:30-2:00pm – Harness Horse stallion presentation beginning with lot A
2:00-4:00pm – Hitching of Harness Horse mares
4:00pm – Sale of 90 Harness Horse mares
Wednesday, January 17th
6:00am – Hitching of Harness Horse gelding and stallion consignments
9:00am – Sale of Harness Horse gelding and stallion consignments
SMALL ARENA SCHEDULE
Tuesday, January 16th
3:00-400pm – Breeding workshop with a professional practitioner*
4:00pm – Draft horse consignments preview from youngest to oldest
Wednesday, January 17th
9:00am – Sale of all Draft Horse consignments
Please note: All draft Horse consignments will be sold on
Wednesday January 17 beginning with the mares.
Horses and vendors may arrive anytime after 12:00pm on Monday, January 15th. Wash bays with warm water will be available for washing horses. Wagons and forecarts will be provided for hitching. It is recommended that all horses selling as broke, be hitched before the sale in order to be sold as broke. Draft horses must be hitched from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, January 16.
