This is a great way to learn more about the IMTCA Courses and horse they are judged. Our clinician Kelly Chapman will be teaching everyone how to help guide your horse through each obstacle and how to gain more points when at the events. You will even get to practice the patterns that will be at the big OQHA All Breed Trail Challenge Event on June 14- 17, 2018
We will be hosting a 2 day clinic, the same both days to fit the most people. Both days will run the same.
There will be continental breakfast, lunch and the clinic included in the price. Only $125 Per rider or $35 per spectator. If riding, you need to bring a rope halter, a lunge stick with rope and a 12-14ft lunge line along with your tack for your horse (saddle, bridle ect.)
Kelly will go over all the rules of IMTCA and what it is all about. Then you will move on to doing ground work with your horse and special maneuvers. Once that is mastered everyone will walk their horses through the course. We will provided everyone with lunch. After the lunch brake everyone will come back tacked up and ready to ride through the course. Then you all will get to practice the course patterns that will be at the OQHA ride in June!!
If you would like to camp the night before your clinic day you are more then welcome to. It is only $15 a night per trailer. If you are coming to Saturdays clinic, the gates will open at 5pm on Friday night. If you are in Sundays Clinic the gates will also open Saturday at 5pm. You are welcome to come for the whole weekend and either ride both days or ride one and spectate the other.
Spectators, there will be time at the end of the clinic for all your questions. During the clinic we will hold all questions till the end from the crowd. This way not to hold up the clinician.
All Youth must have a helmet.
