June is here and as I write, our mare Morning Star is one week overdue from her foaling date. I understand this is not unusual, but I still have counted, computed, looked and relooked at the foaling chart. I check for physical signs that delivery is near about three times a day. If you have ever waited on the delivery of a foal in your barn, you know about the anticipation. Will it be a colt or filly, what color, how big, and of course, will it be strong and healthy? Hopefully all will go well and within the next few days all our questions will be answered and we can enjoy watching our youngster grow strong out in the pasture learning how to be a horse from mom. I love watching the communication between horses. And speaking of communication…

We post several of our articles from the magazine each month, provide our contact information and also have a page dedicated to our clubs. We are very excited because more and more people are going to our calendar to post and view events. Our classified page is a good way to sell your equine items for only $5 a month. You can even set up your classified ad yourself, quickly and conveniently any time of the day or night. While you are on the Corral website, don’t forget to take a few moments to look at our slide show on the home page. You may see pictures from past events that you have attended. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter. We use this whenever we have a time sensitive story or press release that just can’t wait for the next issue. This is especially important should something come in from one of the emergency animal response teams.
